SCHOOL PROGRAMS
For the past nine years, Newcastle Aikido has offered Aikido to schools as a sporting option. The program has been enthusiastically received. At each school where we become involved, we have received multiple and ongoing invitations to return and continue the program.
Many of the children who are introduced to Aikikdo through school programs choose to stay on and attend children's classes well beyond the duration of the school-based program. Students who learn through one of our school-based programs are welcome to join regular children's classes during the relevant school term.
SCHOOL HOLIDAY CAMP
Our popular School Holiday Camps are usually held during the second week of the school holidays.
They generally run from Monday - Thursday, 3 to 5pm.
The school holiday camp is a fun and informative program which combines cultural experiences, cooking, craft and movement.
A typical schedules might include games and body movement activities, calligraphy, origami, Tea Ceremony, and sushi-making.
Children do not need to be enrolled as regular Aikido students to participate in our holiday programs.
