What Is BECOME

BECOME is a six-week beginner training journey at Newcastle Aikido.

Designed for people looking to improve their fitness, learn new skills and challenge themselves through traditional Japanese martial arts training.

This is not a fitness challenge.

It's a structured introduction to Aikido, weapons training, Iaido, meditation and breathwork led by experienced instructors who care about your progress.

You'll train under the guidance of Sensei Darius Wingate-Pearse, 6th Dan Aikikai, internationally recognised instructor with over 35 years of experience.

That's why BECOME combines training with accountability and support.

At the start of the program you'll set a personal goal for your six-week journey.

Throughout the program you'll meet with instructors during Weeks 1, 3 and 6 to review progress, overcome challenges and stay on track.

You're not left to figure it out alone.

You'll train alongside a cohort of people committed to the same journey while being supported by experienced instructors and senior students every step of the way.
